Divine Celebrations of Buddha Purnima at Rakchham

The residents of Rakchham village, nestled in the scenic Kinnaur district, celebrated the sacred and auspicious festival of Buddha Jayanti with great devotion and enthusiasm. On this holy occasion, the villagers carried the sacred scriptures of Lord Buddha (Kangyur texts) along with the revered Nag Devta Ji, symbolizing harmony between Buddhist and local traditions. A circumambulation (parikrama) of the entire village was performed, accompanied by prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all. The air was filled with chants, the rhythmic sounds of traditional instruments, and the spiritual fervor of the community coming together to honor this significant day.
